Dear Students

The First Iyengar Yoga Centre of Delhi is a tribute to our Guruji Dr. B.K.S Iyengar and is a culmination of his life’s work. He termed this to be a long cherished dream of his. He said, “Yogakshema is my dream that has come true, a dream for which I waited 40 years to be true.”

Our centre was founded on the moral support and blessings of Guruji. It had an auspicious beginning, as Guruji himself inaugurated it.

We are lucky to be celebrating the 10th Anniversary of “Yogakshema” in February 2017. To commemorate this, Shricharan Faeq Biria, one of the senior-most disciples of Guruji, has graciously accepted to share his teaching in all its authenticity during an Intensive Workshop. The Workshop shall be the biggest tribute to our Guruji and follow his preaching that, “Yoga is effort. Only practice is important.”

Sricharan Faeq Biria, is one of Yogacharya Dr .B.K.S Iyengar’s foremost disciples having studied directly from Guruji for 36 long years and strictly follows Iyengar Yoga traditions and teaching methodology . He is the director of Iyengar Yoga Centre of Paris, Chair of the Technical Committee of Iyengar Yoga Association of France.


He is true ambassador of Iyengar Yoga and the official yoga expert to UNESCO headquarters at Paris. He has taught and trained regularly all over the globe for more than three decades, helping many countries implement Iyengar certification and assessment. He is teaching for the first time in India on the occasion of 10th anniversary celebrations of “Yogakshema”, Iyengar Yoga Centre in Delhi. This workshop is a rare opportunity for participants to study and learn from such an inspirational and dedicated teacher.

YOGA PRACTICE PROPS

Each participant shall be required to carry 1 yoga mat, 2 belts and 1 pranayama bandage.
6 blankets,1 chair and 2 bricks will be provided by Yogakshema at the venue for each participant and these have to be returned at the end of the workshop

CANCELLATION POLICY

Until 31stDecember 2016 , Rs.3000/-will be charged, the remaining fees will be refunded.

After 31stDecember, there will be no refund. Regardless of the reason for cancellation.
