Atal Ji - The tallest leader of India

Atal Ji- this name personifies with a one of the tallest leaders of India for every Indian but for me he was the first man came to hospital and picked me up in his lap as amma says.

He saw my journey like his own daughter, struggling for life and then coming out of wheel chair and walking happily writing poems.

He was then PM when I did my first poetry book “Nange Paon”. He not only liked my poetries but happily agreed to release my first book.

He will read his latest poetries and will ask me to share my latest ones as if we were friends since many years. He never made me feel that now he is PM and too big and far from me. I always felt I am in my own home that was his personality to be one with every one.

One day he said “बिटिया हमें अपना सेन्टर दिखाओ जहाँ तुम ठीक हुई।“

I just took an opportunity in that moment, spoke to his P.S and organised a trip to Pune. He was the first PM visited Pune Centre.

He believed that Yoga is great for body, mind health and specially when he saw me recovered but in his speech while he was releasing my book he said- “योग बहुत अच्छा है, निवेदिता इसका जीता जागता उदाहरण है मगर एक ही दिक्कत है इसमें इसे रोज़ करना पड़ता है।“ and audience laughed as he was so candid.

Today when his soul is resting in peace I remember his few lines:-

My pranam to his soul.
Jai Hind
